Volunteers make Light Up Durham possible!
We are fortunate to have a strong partnership with North Carolina Central University again this year. Approximately sixty students serve as Light Up Durham Ambassadors during our events. These young adult students serve as positive role models to the nearly 2,000 youth who perform at Light Up Durham events.
The NCCU students represent several Greek organizations, and the Student Leadership, Training & Development Program. Special thanks to the following staff of North Carolina Central University for their support of our work at Light Up Durham: Gary L. Brown, Dean of Students and Director of Greek Life; Peggy Watson Alexander, Director of Student Leadership, Training & Development; Colene Kelly, Program Advisor for Student Leadership, Training & Development.
Light Up Durham and North Carolina Central University know that Light Up Durham has “the brightest lights in town!” We look forward to another great year of working together.
